About:
The Contemporary Sculptors Association (CSA) is a not-for-profit arts organisation dedicated to promoting contemporary sculpture, installations and spatial arts practice in Australia.
The CSA works with artists, government, private organisations and the greater community of Victoria, to expand the diversity of sculptural arts practice.
Goals:
To represent the interest of contemporary sculptors and to promote art practices
To increase public awareness of contemporary sculpture and it's diverse relationship with other art forms
To encourage excellence in professional practice amongst contemporary sculptors, and expand professional networks.
Objectives:
To provide studio and exhibition space for sculpture, installation and spatial arts
To promote patronage of sculpture through prizes, commissions and exhibitions
To build stakeholder relationships for sponsorship and philanthropic support of contemporary sculptural arts practice
To encourage employment opportunities - through public programming, teaching, and artist in resident programs.
To keep sculptors informed of professional opportunities and news, by way of the CSA newsletter.
To maintain a visual and data reference library promoting members and their work.
